The finishing edge of the fabric is a specially elastic tubular fabric suitable for finishing garment edges – necklines, sleeves and hems.
Sewing tips:
When sewing with cotton jersey, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles. If the jersey is very stretchy it is advisable to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for elastic fabrics. These needles have a rounded point that allows them to easily glide between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the fabric weight, but common sizes for cotton jersey are 70/10 or 80/12.
