The fabric finishing edge is a particularly elastic tubular fabric suitable for finishing garment edges – necklines, sleeves and garment hems.
Sewing tips:
When sewing with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the knit is very stretchy it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for elastic fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to glide easily between knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on fabric thickness, but common sizes for cotton knit are 70/10 or 80/12.
