Jersey is easy to care for and does not wrinkle. Thanks to a small addition of elastane, the knit fabric will retain its shape and will not stretch out—while keeping the good properties of cotton.

Sewing tips:
When sewing with cotton jersey, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the jersey is very elastic then it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretchy fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to glide easily between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the fabric thickness, but common sizes suitable for cotton jersey are 70/10 or 80/12.
