Knitwear is easy to care for and does not crease. Thanks to the slightly added elastane, the knit fabric will retain its shape and won’t stretch out—keeping the good properties of cotton.
Great for casual wear, dresses, children’s clothing, t-shirts, sportswear, as well as hats and scarves.
Sewing tips:
When sewing with cotton jersey, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles. If the knit is very elastic, it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretch fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to glide easily between knit fibres without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the fabric thickness, but commonly suitable sizes for cotton jersey are 70/10 or 80/12.
