Cotton loop knit fabric (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane in the composition. This has a small fluff on the left side and is especially pleasant to the touch.
One side of the fabric is smooth, while the other side has a small looped texture that provides extra comfort and warmth.
This fabric is perfect for sportswear, casual outfits, hats, sweaters, pants, and children's clothing.
Loop knitwear is breathable and provides natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough elasticity for comfortable everyday wear.
Sewing tips:
To sew with cotton knit fabric, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the knitwear is very stretchy, it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretch fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to easily glide between knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually is 70/10 or 80/12.
