Knitted fabric is easy to care for and does not wrinkle. Thanks to a little added elastane,jersey fabric will keep its shape and will not stretch out-retaining the good properties of cotton.
Great for casual wear, dresses, children's clothing,t-shirts,sportswear, as well as hats and scarves.
Sewing tips:
To sew with cotton jersey, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the knit is very elastic then it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretch fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to glide easily between the knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on fabric thickness, but for cotton jersey commonly suitable sizes are 70/10 or 80/12.
