Knit fabric is easy to care for and does not wrinkle. Thanks to a small amount of added elastane,the knit fabric will retain its shape and won't stretch out-preserving the good qualities of cotton.
Excellent for leisurewear, dresses, children's clothing,t-shirts,sportswear, as well as hats and scarves.
Tips for sewing:
To sew with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles if the knit is very elastic then it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially made for stretchy fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to easily slide between the knit fibres without damaging the fabric. Needle size is usually dependent on the fabric thickness, but for cotton knit commonly suitable sizes are 70/10 or 80/12.
